We were in Charleston, SC this summer ~ one of our favorite places to visit with its wonderful history, shops and galleries. We always do a lot of walking in Charleston with the best place being on The Battery. For centuries, tourists and residents have taken strolls along the harbor to take advantage of the lovely breezes and to view boats and ships. Watching the sailboats glide back and forth is mesmerizing and I couldn’t resist taking numerous photos and painting while I was there.

Broken Buoys
Posted in: Boats, Marine -Seascape
This painting was loosely based upon a photo submitted to the Reference Library of WetCanvas.com. If you ever need to get ideas for painting, that is a great resource. The photo only had a few buoys so I used their general appearance, but then added more and also designed the ropes for a pleasing pattern.
Image Size: 17.5 x 23.5″ Outside frame dimensions: 27×33″ Price: $600 (plus for S&H), includes custom matting and frame. Deduct $100.00 to purchase painting only.

Fernandina at Dusk 2
Posted in: Boats, Marine -Seascape
Amelia Island is one of our favorite places to visit and a fabulous place to go paint. This painting was inspired by the scenes around the marina in Fernandina and I have painted versions of this scene several times. A beautiful area and lots of great shopping, too!
