$95 for 6 classes or 8 weeks, whichever comes first (so you can miss an occasional day without losing class time).

Class Description:
Weekly classes are currently being held in the lower level rec room of Lake Forest’s Lodge located in Middletown, KY. You do not have to be a resident of Lake Forest development to attend and you can start at any time. These are on-going classes for the absolute beginner to intermediate/advanced levels with individuals proceeding at their own pace. Each week can consist of a demonstration, art theory, composition and design, drawing technique (you do not have to know how to draw to attend), painting techniques and individual student attention. While this may sound daunting for beginners, it is really all about having fun and enjoying the class. Students should be inspired when they paint, so I do not dictate the subject matter, but have students paint subjects that excite them. I’ll give individual guidance that is necessary for the subject chosen.
We frequently paint from life, but often use photos for variety, personalization and convenience. Usually every student is painting something different. We can have themes to a class, such as a texturing technique, but no one is required to paint what I am demonstrating. I try to present a variety in the class with traditional and experimental approaches, photo-realism to impressionism with various subject matter. We have painted landscapes, portraits, animals, florals, fruits, vegetables and still lifes, seascapes and boats, abstracts and more. The bottom line is that students learn to paint watercolors and have fun along the way!
